Tables in webpages

  1. In chrome (or a browser based on chromium) go ‘More tools’ → ‘Developer tools’
  2. Find <table> tag, right-click, select `Copy’→’Copy Element’
  3. You now have the HTML for the table in the pastebuffer
  4. Use a free web-based HTML-to-CSV table tool like this one: http://www.convertcsv.com/html-table-to-csv.htm
  5. Paste in, hit a button and you will get .csv data
  6. Either save to CSV and use, or if you want to get into excel quickly you can just paste and then hit Alt-d-e, and use , as the delimiter to separate the columns
